Global Small Solutions of the Vlasov-Nordström System

The Vlasov-Nordström system serves for the description of galaxies and globular clusters under the influence of gravitation. If one neglects collisions between particles and uses the Nordström scalar theory of gravitation coupled to the Vlasov equation, one arrives at the so called Vlasov-Nordström system, which is more complicated than the non-relativistic Vlasov-Poisson system based on Newtonian theory of gravitation and much easier than the Vlasov-Einstein system of general relativity. Let us denote by f(t, x, p) the density function of the particles on phase space, where t ≥ 0 denotes time and x, p ∈ R3 position and momentum, respectively.
